Baby Juggling
I feel like I went real light on pictures since I was mainly focused on keeping the (spoilers) babies alive and not taken away or whatever happens in Paralives.

This is what a child in a loving and stable environment looks like.

I did remember to take a picture of the 'office' area as of right now, though. Featuring our souvenir mug, the deer figure thing from the treasure chest, and a tiny bronze trophy for donating stuff to the museum.
The art and the cat thing are from the Sunday market.

Ellie got sick at work, so I sent her across the street to the hospital and-- uh, Ellie? Where are you going? That's the graveyard. You don't need that yet...

Girl...

Okay, so it turns out the part of the hospital across from us is the BACK entrance and you can't go through there? Maybe they could make it so you could enter from either side in the future?
I mean it's not a big deal, but we do have to trek down a hill to go to the hospital, I guess.

Since Julian and Ellie got their payment from work, I went ahead and tried to make the nursery a little less extremely depressing.

Julian got up in the night to feed the baby. Because Ellie makes close to a thousand Paradimes a day currently so it matters less if he gets a strike at work.
Hydrogen: Dad... dad, that's my chin...

As I said, I did not get a lot of pictures because gameplay when you have a baby is generally:
1) Juggle the adult paras' needs in between getting them to take care of the baby or
2) Everyone's at work so there's no one in the house.
So this picture is from the next time they got home from work. Weirdly no one had any pressing needs for a bit so Ellie and Julian actually got a chance to talk.

They even got to have a sit-down meal together. They had hazelnut spread on toast. The fanciest thing either of them know how to make.
Then of course Ellie got the want to try for another kid...

Ellie: It worked, by the way.
Okay, sure. Let's add another baby in the mix.

Hydrogen aged up, at least. Which makes some parts of caring for him easier, and some parts even less easy, because now he has to be fed in the high chair and bathed. At least the paras actually seem to feed the kid now when they put him in the chair? When I first started playing it was a fifty/fifty shot if they would actually bring out some food.
He's cute, though! And he has, like, foot-long eyelashes.

The high chair feeding is cracking me up, though. Ellie and Julian are surviving on frozen pizzas and toast and this kid's getting a full meal. Crazy. Love that for him.

I notice Ellie admiring her pregnant belly, which reminds me the new kid is going to come soon and things are going to get even crazier, so I send her off to practice her skills for her job while she still can.

It's a disgrace to this legacy that no one is at a high enough skill level to take this class. We need to fix it. After the hectic toddler years.

Ellie went into labor not long after and we had TWO babies. TWINS. SHIT. DAMN. We're obviously not keeping these names, but I had to show that:
1) Two of them.
2) The game portraits decided to be a pair of identical full-grown paras with stubble for some reason.
Anyway, meet baby boy Helium and baby girl Lithium. Weirdly the same number of kids and gender distribution as in the original legacy, which makes me feel like this is a good stopping point for this generation. If Ellie wants to try for another baby we're at least waiting for these kids to be in school.

That's not how you should be holding a baby, but that kid might still be in a better position than the one being stepped on.

I wasn't expecting two kids at once, so I very quickly put together some nurseries for the twins. One for Helium...

And one for Lithium. I'm going to go look for more pictures to put up around their walls.

I only just realized Hydrogen needed to upgrade a stat (?) upon aging up, so I rolled my d4 again. This is fitting, though.

We're starting a photo wall so the outside hallway is a little less extremely depressing. It's nice how easy it is to add these into the game, and we won't have to worry about all of our pictures turning into empty black voids or about losing them if the save gets corrupted and we need to reset the town or something.

While Ellie miraculously had some downtime to work on her skills, we just got a pop-up that 'Something happened in town...'
WHAT, game? Did someone die? Did the aliens land? What does this mean???

We get our answer the next day when the newspaper informs us there was a meteor crash.

Crazy this happened so close to the house. I send Ellie out to collect it since she took a vacation day. Since that sent all the kids off to daycare, I had her run around and collect a few more things to prolong the period when someone else would be dealing with the kids.
The meteor is worth 3000 paradimes, although I haven't sold it yet. There doesn't seem to be anything else to do with it-- the museum didn't want it-- but I've kept it for now. I think once the kids are all out of diapers I'll do some renovating, and then we can figure out if we're selling the thing or displaying it somewhere.

Hydrogen aged up in the middle of the night, so he doesn't have school until tomorrow. With his parents at work and the twins at daycare, that means he has a day to himself.
The game seems to be giving him a lot of orange in his randomized outfits, so I figure that's his favorite color.

I sent him out to get some pictures around the community center area, and there was some yoga stuff laid out to use. His random stat upgrade went to 'physique,' so I figured he'd like to exercise.

You can tell how hectic it's been with two infants because they're already aging up into toddlers. It felt like it took a lot longer in game, but taking a picture of every diaper change isn't super interesting.
So here's Helium.

And Lithium. I guess red and black can make brown with the genetics system, or there are some recessive genes assigned to paras or something? These kids have darker eyes like their dad, but I think the eye shape is pretty similar to how Hydrogen's looked as a toddler. Their noses are definitely thinner than his was. And I think they have fuller lips?

The photo wall continues to grow. I think when I redo the house and figure out where this thing is going to live I'll put some of the stuff we've collected like the trophy on a display beneath the kids' pictures.
