(Pre)Teen Angst
We got enough money to finish up Lithium's room, so I figured I would start off with that before I forgot.

Can you tell I went CC shopping?
I was more looking for pose packs and animations for photo mode, but it doesn't seem like there are too many available just yet. I was already subscribed to most of them.

The other side of Lithium's room.

Speaking of, the twins aged up to preteens pretty soon after I started up the game. I went ahead and gave Helium a point in mind, so he hopefully won't suffer in school so much anymore. He got the Jester vibe.

Lithium got a point in charisma, so she and her brother now have the same array of stats, but she has the serious vibe.

I remembered I'd given them each a skill object in their room, so I figured they could try them out.

Lithium: What does 'practicing' the triangle even mean? You just hit it, right?
cue me going on a deep dive about the intricacies of triangle-playing

Celebratory picture of all three kids coming home with an upgrade point!

Ellie also got an upgrade point, which is wild because she missed, like, half the day because I forgot to set up a queue for her needs that morning.

Lithium much prefers playing her brother's keyboard to the triangle.

I took some preteen pictures of them, as well. I'm particularly proud of the one with Helium sitting on the barrel. I'm figuring out this photo mode thing!

Hydrogen aged up to teen immediately after. He got the 'good at cooperating' social perk and a point in... something.
Hydrogen: You forgot???
No, I remember. It was a second point in creativity.

Hydrogen's birthday conveniently gave him the day off, so we're using it to run around and grab collectibles. It's been a little bit since the last time I sent someone down the trail, and he found... a lot.

I dunno why, I just felt like taking a picture. Look at them, all grown up!
... We should do something with the empty space behind those stairs.

Both the boys wanted to watch TV for two hours. Brotherly bonding at its finest.

Now that we're not spending all our money on furnishing the house, I figured I'd send the family to the grocery store to learn some new recipes. Finally, they can eat something other than toast.
Lithium didn't come because she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Like, mechanically, we drew that as a card and it made her angry.

If you're not going to be sociable, you can try to find more things for the museum.
Lithium: Fine, but I'm gonna complain the whole time. You didn't put the walls up and we can see inside the general store.

As most of the family split off to do their own thing, Julian stayed behind to chat with Maggie Vaughn.

Maybe do a little more than chat.
... she got bored before anything could come of it, though.
I'm still judging him.

Doing pretty well with the museum, at least.

Sunday is, of course, the Sunday Market.
Lithium: Do you think this news article means we'll get weather one day?
Maybe the alert is for another meteor.
Lithium: I don't think that's 'weather,' though.
It's literally called 'meteorology' though.

Helium was dying for some entertainment, so the kids played Meli-Melo together.

I was trying to figure out how the game is supposed to work, but it doesn't help that the animation shows them all with the same hand and perpetually drawing a '2'. The closest I could find was a French game of the same name that is decidedly not what they're playing in Paralives because that game involves matching cards with bugs on them.

Ellie decided she wanted to try for another baby, and I thought: what's the harm? It will make her happy, and she's pretty close to aging up right now so surely...

... what have I done?
